Steven Capobianco – Kinesiology Taping Practitioner CertificationThis course introduces the concept of functional taping methods to improve the movement and performance of patients and clients. It includes a review of current literature supporting the theories of kinesiology taping for enhancement of rehabilitation or performance outcomes such as edema/swelling management, neurologic conditions of pain and nerve entrapment, scar mobility and postural control. This is an evidence-informed kinesiology taping course that redefines our understanding of the effects of elastic therapeutic taping on pain mitigation, circulation and proprioception. You’ll learn the groundwork for a practical framework of ‘taping movement, not muscles’ to replace an outdated model focused on directional taping, prescribed tape stretch percentages and activation or inhibition of muscles. This course is intended for medical and performance professionals with all levels of taping experience.CourseKinesiology Taping Practitioner Certification 1 Hour 48 MinutesKinesiology Taping Practitioner Certification 2 Hours 09 MinutesKinesiology Taping Practitioner Certification 2 Hours 31 MinutesObjectivesDefine and discuss the physiological effects of kinesiology taping.Discuss and interpret the use of tape as it pertains to skin physiology.Demonstrate and apply functional taping techniques as they apply to pain, edema management, neuropathy, rehabilitation and posture awareness.Introduce, define and demonstrate the concept of longitudinal muscle chain kinesiology taping.Understand and delineate pathologic scar conditions for taping protocols.Define and demonstrate the concept of taping for neurodynamics.OutlineBrief Introduction of taping history Types of taping, rigid vs dynamic tape Kinesiology taping and its popularity Kinesiology tape – features and characteristics Tape application/care tips Reducing risks involved in kinesiology tapingFMT education What is FMT?
