Rapid Movement Training – Paul Holbrook

Speed may be as important, if not more important, than strength as we get older. We’ll look at why we have been stuck in using the traditional slow methods of training which only exacerbates the use of Type I muscle fibers and virtually ignores training the more powerful Type II muscle fibers that are preferentially lost during the aging process. A brief description of the latest research on the matter will be given with a focus on several key studies. A majority of the time will be spent conducting “sprint drills” such as A skips,  Primetimes, Arm Swings, Standing and Sitting Starts, and others. Why sprint drills? Almost everyone can do them, and they are highly effective at improving movement speed. We will discuss where speed training fits in programming, how quality is better than quantity, and how strength is also gained as a result.Included in Rapid Movement TrainingModule 1Introduction to Speed TrainingModule 2Foundations of Speed TrainingModule 3Programming Speed TrainingThis course will look at the importance of speed and power, how to make it functional, and where to program it into a session. We will also look at just how “powerful” speed and power might be in programming for older adults! You will also develop an understanding about the importance of speed training and why it’s not being emphasized as much as it should be. You will learn that speed or rapid movement just might be the holy grail to develop better physical function in this population. This course will also demonstrate what exercises are best to use and where to fit them into a training program.Get Rapid Movement Training – Paul Holbrook , Only Price $37Tag: Rapid Movement Training – Paul Holbrook Review.  Rapid Movement Training – Paul Holbrook download.
