Then, learn methods for building value quickly, as well as how to achieve incredible detail and remarkably even tones with the stipple technique. You’ll even find out how to draw complex textures and patterns such as foliage, animal fur, stonework and reflective surfaces. Paul Heaston received his MFA in painting from Montana State University. He’s also a correspondent for Urbansketchers.org, an internationally recognized website that showcases visual journalism. You can find some of Paul’s work on his sketch blog, Three Letter Word for Art. Paul has been teaching college-level drawing and painting since 2005.

Complicated Drawing Made Easy!
Paul Heaston breaks down pen and ink drawing into layers, adding one technique to others until you have a piece of artwork that amazes even yourself. I enjoyed this course immensely and felt accomplished at the end of each lesson. I also like that he gave tips and ideas for things I want to capture in my work.
