Explain what it was like to be the first Osteopathic Physician to practice in Burundi.Accreditation Statements: The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. He completed his medical residency in Family and Community Medicine at Truman Medical Centers. Currently, he works for Meritas Health in North Kansas City, where he practices family medicine. Dr. Brown has held many positions within the American Osteopathic Association and the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, and currently serves on the MAOPS board where he holds the office of President-Elect. Logan Banks, DO, FAAFP Related seminars and products: 4 Logan Banks DO is a full-time medical missionary serving in Burundi, East Africa. He is a professor of Family Medicine and Obstetrics with Hope Africa University and serves as Director of Medical Education at the university’s rural teaching hospital, Kibuye Hope Hospital. He is also adjunct faculty with Cox Family Medicine Residency in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Banks attended medical school at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Cox Family Medical Residency, in Springfield, Missouri, following by a fellowship in international family medicine.
