I step up and accept my destiny.” ― Lonerwolf As a child, I encountered spirit visitors often. And to be honest, they scared the hell out of me. I had no idea why they were there or what they wanted from me. I prayed they would leave me alone. I had a nightly ritual for approximately two years. Every night, I opened my closet doors and pushed all my clothes to one side. I wanted to see if I could catch how my visitors entered my room. Next, I checked under my bed. Then I would turn the lights out and run and jump in bed just in case they snuck in under my bed. I didn’t want them to grab my feet. For some reason, I thought if I pulled the bed covers up over my head, they couldn’t penetrate the covers. But even doing that, I could still sense them, and I knew they were still there. It gave me anxiety.Eventually, I had the courage to face what I sensed. I began asking questions, and surprisingly, I received an answer that was conveyed through my mind. The information was being sent telepathically. Finding the courage to face my visitors that one day changed my entire life. The visitors who once scared me were slowly becoming my friends. I had conversations in my mind with them.Childhood From a young age, I wondered why I was here and what my purpose was. This life never felt right to me. I often daydreamed of another life. I wondered what it was like in heaven. Even though I had a voice in my head telepathically communicating, I still second-guessed everything. I wondered if I understood the random thoughts correctly. It wasn’t an actual voice in my head. It was more like a thought process. For example, if I said I’m going to the grocery store, I wouldn’t need to explain every detail of how I was getting there. I would just automatically know what was included with the entire thought. I was working hard to learn the language. What made it more difficult was the fact it wasn’t a constant thought process. It would come and go randomly.I grew up on an acreage in rural Iowa. My family consisted of five people. I have two sisters, one older sister and one younger sister. My younger sister was adopted from Korea when she was fourteen months old. My father was instrumental in adopting my sister. He grew up in an orphanage and later became a foster child at the age of thirteen. My parents both worked full-time jobs, so my sisters and I spent time at a babysitter when we were young and by ourselves when we were old enough. My family attended First Lutheran Church. I was baptized and confirmed there. Sitting in confirmation classes was difficult for me. I enjoyed my pastor, but my friends in spirit were not so thrilled with the information he was teaching at times. I was nudged to question him on the information and rules of the Lutheran Church. Because of that, I questioned my entire belief system and everything taught by the church. The overall message was awesome. It was man’s ideas and rules that created problems in religion that bothered me.–This text refers to the paperback edition.Review “After reading Death Is Not Goodbye, I now have practical tools in connecting with my loved ones that have passed.
