CHRISTINA STEMBEL
Christina Stembel dreamed up the idea for Farmgirl Flowers in 2010 after working for over 7 years at Stanford University. Always dreaming up ideas, crazy and less than crazy, Christina’s goal was always to start a business that achieved three goals: 1) was innovative and creative, 2) mission driven and promoted social “goodâ€, and 3) made money. When researching the floral industry, she found many problems and very little innovation, so finding creative and innovative solutions to the problems was how Farmgirl Flowers was born. Christina grew up on a farm in Northern Indiana, which is where the name for Farmgirl Flowers derived from. What’s that saying about being able to take the girl out of the country, but not the country out of the girl?
RHIANNON SMITH
