Sleight of Mouth is a system of elegant verbal reframing that, once mastered, can allow you to always have a response that will effectively elucidate your position and help you to persuade rather than be persuaded. Simply put, it will help you win any argument, be verbally powerful and powerfully verbal.
Doug O’Brien – Sleight of Mouth – Videos of Live-Stream Seminar & Workbook
Here’s a curious thing about people learning Sleight of Mouth.
Something I discovered when I recently did something I had never done before.
I conducted a live-streaming over the internet of my live, weekend Sleight of Mouth class.
Why?
Because many people had said they wanted this.
They knew the live, 2-day Sleight of Mouth seminar was the best way to learn.
But they found it challenging to come all the way to New York to attend in person.
They wanted the live seminar to be streamed into their own living room.
So we did it.
We set the whole thing up quite quickly so we only got about 25 people, but we did it right.
I hired a professional camera man to do the camera work and sound.
I got a friend of mine who’s an ace I.T. guy to handle the web interface.
The class went off without a hitch.
I can honestly tell you the class itself has probably never been better.
The students in the room with me were fantastic.
The students on line also asked some good questions and participated actively.
Excellent feedback, excellent participation, excellent fun.
And I taught well.
It really one of the best classes I’ve ever done.
But here’s the curious part: of all those people clamoring for a live stream seminar, only about half of them were actually on the call at any given time!
Some skipped out for an hour or so.
Some even a whole day.
But everyone wanted the video recording afterwards.
So maybe being in the live seminar is the best way to learn, but it seems a video of that seminar is a close second.
And, of course, in some ways it may be better.
Because with the video you can watch it as often as you want until you really master the material.
You can watch at your own pace and stop and start as often as you like.
And, because the 2-day training is divided up into 11 videos, it’s easy to go back to specific sequences you want to repeat.
So maybe it is, in fact, the best way to learn, when you stop an think about it.
There is one small, less-than-perfect aspect about these videos, however.
Because the video was being live-streamed it had to be shot at a lower resolution than it would have been for straight filming at HD.
So the video quality is Standard Definition.
The way we all used to watch TV.
It’s perfectly fine once you accept it for what it is. You can see everything just fine and the audio is excellent.
In fact we had it professionally edited and mastered so it as a high quality as possible.
