However the surgery required to resect these types of tumours is often complex. This will include practical hints and tips on performing these procedures. Surgery of the palate can be challenging and prone to failure. This session will cover a variety of techniques to help manage defects of the palate.Tumours of the head and neck are relatively common and are often best managed by surgical resection. However the anatomy of the head is complex and both resection and reconstruction can be challenging.
