It’s true. I did fail my English “higher school certificate” exam (my mark was 38 out of 100). It was probably my own stupid fault, but I just couldn’t get excited about writing boring essays on Shakespeare.

Ultimately my crappy attitude prevented me from going to university and studying psychology. I was pretty bummed about it too.
And as I sat there looking at my results, I wondered what the hell I was going to do.
So like nearly everybody else in situation… I got a job.
And then I left that one and got another. Then another.
To put it simply, after 12 years I was pretty dissatisfied with where I’d ended up. But I did enjoy what I’d learnt how to do – write copy. Which is the skill of writing advertisements (in fact it was the only thing that kept me sane!).

Luckily however, that wasn’t the only dreaming I did. For 12 years I dreamt about starting my own business. But I made excuses that:
I wasn’t ready
I wasn’t good enough, and that
I didn’t have enough money to start up a ‘lemonade stand’ let alone a business (“and even if I did, what if I failed?”.
Then one day everything changed.
