Auricular acupuncture and auriculotherapy presents the most essential clinical procedures for stimulating ear reflex points for the alleviation of pain, addiction, and stress-related disorders. It will also serve as the review course of basic auriculotherapy material needed for the ACI Certification Exam. This course provides fundamental knowledge of the somatotopic correspondence of the physical body to the inverted fetus pattern represented on the external ear. The historical, theoretical, and anatomical localization of Chinese and European systems of auriculotherapy will be presented. Specific auricular treatment plans for the relief of visceral, musculoskeletal, and neuropathic pain will be described. Both didactic presentations and hands-on training will facilitate a deeper understanding of the auriculotherapy practices that allow optimal integration of the microsystem of the ear with the macrosystem of the body. Agenda:– Firstly, To demonstrate awareness of the historical and theoretical background of auricular acupuncture as practiced in ancient and modern China and in contemporary Europe.– Secondly, To demonstrate knowledge of the anatomical structure of the external ear as it somatotopically corresponds to specific areas of the human body in an inverted fetus pattern.– Thirdly, To demonstrate understanding of the procedures utilized in conducting auricular diagnosis by clinical observation, palpation, and electrical detection of active reflex points on the external ear.– Fourthly, To demonstrate clinical skill in the utilization of auricular acupuncture procedures that include acupressure, press balls, needle insertion, electroacupuncture, transcutaneous electrical stimulation of ear points, and laser stimulation.– Then, To demonstrate knowledge of the auricular location of specific ear acupuncture points that are identified as Master Ear Points, Musculoskeletal Ear Points, Internal Organ Ear Points, and Neuroendocrine Ear Points.– Additionally, To demonstrate the clinical application of auriculotherapy treatment protocols used in t he alleviation of myofascial pain, visceral pain, neuropathic pain, addiction disorders, psychological disorders, and stress-related disorders.Health and Medical courseMore information about Medical:Medicine is the science and practice of establishing the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness.Contemporary medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose, treat, and prevent injury and disease, typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others.Medicine has been around for thousands of years, during most of which it was an art (an area of skill and knowledge) frequently having connections to the religious andphilosophical beliefs of local culture. For example, a medicine man would apply herbs and say prayers for healing, or an ancient philosopher and physician would apply bloodletting according to the theories of humorism. In recent centuries, since the advent of modern science, most medicine has become a combination of art and science (both basic and applied, under the umbrella of medical science). While stitching technique for sutures is an art learned through practice, the knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises through science.Get Auriculotherapy Training – Dr Terry Oleson, Only Price $62
