Featured will be the contributions of Palo Alto Group members Gregory Bateson, Don Jackson, MD, John Weakland, Jay Haley, and William Fry. Seven specific, learnable concepts and techniques will be taught that make treatment more effective and efficient. Educational Objectives: Develop an operational understanding of communication / interaction focused theory and interviewing techniques derived from the Palo Alto Group. Demonstrate understanding of skills for translating individual diagnostic labels into relationship interactions within the patient/client current living contexts of clients.
