In this role, she plays a key role in the implementation of a statewide program through the State Targeted Response (STR) grant aimed at prevention and treatment of Opioid Use Disorders. She has worked closely with other experts in Missouri in developing the treatment guidelines for Opioid Use Disorders. She is part of the Opioid Crisis Management Team, which provides trainings to substance use treatment professionals across the state, consults with independent agencies in implementing empirically proven treatment for Opioid Use Disorders, identifies gaps in care and implements effective strategies to bridge the gap. Brian Parsells, DO Related seminars and products: 1 Brian C. Parsells, D.O. is board certified in General Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Parsells has nearly 30 years of clinical experience in community psychiatry. For the past 14 years, Dr. Parsells has been a staff psychiatrist with Pathways Community Behavioral Health/Compass Health Network. Since 2016 he has served as the Associate Physician Director of Substance Abuse Services and Medication Assisted Treatment Psychiatry Chief for the Western Region of Missouri. Dr. Parsells has been providing Medication Assisted Treatment services since 2010. He has devoted most of his clinical time to the Medication Assisted Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder since 2013. Currently, he practices at the Compass Health FQHC in Clinton, Missouri funded by an HRSA grant to provide psychiatry and addiction services within a primary care practice setting. He medically supervises two residential CSTAR treatment programs within the Compass Health Network.
