Buser, D.O. is the Immediate Past President of the American Osteopathic Association.  Since 2007, Dr. Buser has served as Vice President for Health Affairs and Dean of the University of Pikeville’s Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also holds the rank of Professor of Osteopathic Principles and Practice and Professor of Family Medicine.  He is a graduate of Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, is dually board certified in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Family Medicine, and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.  He has taught extensively both nationally and internationally in the field of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.  He has a long history of advocacy in the payment policy arena, having served on the RUC and CPT Advisory Committees as well as 8 years as a member of the AMA’s CPT Editorial Panel.  He has been an instrumental figure in the development of the single accreditation system for graduate medical education.  Dr. Buser is a past Chairman of the Board of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) and is a founding and current member of the Board of Directors of the Osteopathic International Alliance.  In 1995, Dr. Buser served as President of the American Academy of Osteopathy and was named Educator of the Year by the AOA and American Osteopathic Foundation in 1994.Dr. Buser has received honors and awards from many osteopathic institutions, including the A.T. Still Medallion of Honor by the American Academy of Osteopathy, and the Pioneer of Osteopathic Medicine medal from UNECOM.   Gretchen Sibley, DO Related seminars and products: 1 Dr. Sibley is a 1994 graduate of UNECOM and was privileged to be a teaching fellow for Dr. Boyd Buser.  For the past 21 years she has had a solo OMT practice n the Midcoast Maine area.  She is board certified in NMM and sees all ages from newborns to 90 year olds.  Dr Sibley precepts students and residents in her office and at the Children’s Osteopathic Clinic in Portand.Dr. Sibley played a key role in establishing a cooperative relationship between The MaineHealth Osteopathic Heritage Fund and UNE which lead to the establishment of the New England Osteopathic Heritage Center at the Biddeford campus of UNE and funded a number of projects preserving the unique history of osteopathic physicians in New England including the 2004 production of “With These Hands” an interview with the Ann Wales DO.  She was also instrumental in organizing the 100 year celebration of the establishment of the MOA in 2002.
