Dr. Kaufman moved to Maine, and started a private practice specializing in Internal medicine, NMM, Pain and addiction medicine. He got his Pain board certification and most recently got his 4th board certification in Addiction medicine. Dr. Kaufman has lectured for both the MOA and at the AOA OMED conferences for the AAO. He has authored the chapter on the osteopathic approach to heart failure in the 3rd edition of the “Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine” and has authored an article for the ACOFP journal on the osteopathic approach to the renal and urinary system, as well as helped write the AOA OMT guide to billing and coding.
