Jonathan Rose started his career in 1998 on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange floor. Jonathan Rose was a pioneer in computer-based trading and was instrumental in providing liquidity for the young Globex market. After five years trading Nasdaq Futures, Jonathan was recruited to join a fixed income trading firm that focuses on technology.
Jonathan was one of four Senior Partners in a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm from 2003 to 2010. He joined the firm in 2003 as the 6th employee. He rose to the position of Director for Futures Trading, where he was responsible all aspects of proprietary trading operations. Jonathan managed and built a large trading floor with 60+ traders. Jonathan trained over 30 traders in all aspects Fixed Income trading.
Jonathan was an Equity Options market maker at the CBOE between 2010 and 2013. He managed his own portfolio and actively traded more than 100 stocks concurrently.
Jonathan joined a private Family Office, or Hedge Fund, in the suburbs Chicago in 2014. Jonathan has worked with the firm’s investment team designing and implementing a pair trading investment strategy that focuses on Closed End Funds. He also promotes and supports other strategies within his firm, with a particular focus on business development. Jonathan received a B.S. degree from the University of Miami in 1997. He is a 2015 Level 2-CFA Candidate.
Jonathan completed the Madison Ironman in 2011. He also ran 4 marathons in the last four years. He enjoys spending his spare time with his beautiful wife, his two boys, and his guitar.
