Your presenter Tracey Long has over 28 years of nursing experience working in critical care & cardiology. She is currently a faculty member at the College of Southern Nevada and has developed Spanish programs in diabetes and health education for local hospitals in Las Vegas. Tracy earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing Science and Spanish from Brigham Young University, a Master’s Degree in Public Health Education at California College of Health Sciences and an MSN in Nursing Education at UNLV. Tracey He is currently a PhD candidate in Nursing Education.
Tracy served as a missionary to Colombia’s health care system. She now works with International Service Learning, taking students and nurses to Peru, Belize and other developing nations. Her research interests include simulation, cultural competency training and measuring education effectiveness. She was a member of the NCSBN National Nursing Simulation Study Team.
Active learning is her passion. She is an international speaker and an award-winning educator. Tracey Students learn how to not only memorize but also how to truly understand the content material required to master skills and learn.
